We Should Dare

In this atmosphere across an ailing land

Nations are rising up going against the man

People everywhere are feeling deeply oppressed

Global leaders are obsessed with too much

War, spending, and mounting government debts

Global citizens no longer feel hope

Daily the news reports

Make us choke on tears with fabricated fears of

Many more years of hopelessness and strife

So much so someone will take his own life or

Even kill his helpless children and wife since

No one seems to have a solution

To save a job, car, healthcare or home

Leading many to believe we are all alone

The world once wide has finally

Become as small as the things we value

Our idol treasures replace our capacity

To divinely live, love or even care

Still we choose to make it more difficult in

A world consumed with unnecessary pain

Calling each race by disrespectful names

Continually judging each other by skin color

Using money, power or religion for political gain

Now is the time to abandon senseless oppression

We must make our confession one to another that

This turmoil will not end until we acknowledge our brother

In the peace and the love we are commanded to share

Birthing a new love filled world if only we should dare.
